You’ve got a few hours to kill. It’s hot outside. You’re thirsty, but not just for water; you’re thirsty for music. No worries, you’ve got the mother of all record stores, Waterloo Records, just west of downtown Austin.
Waterloo is essentially a music museum where you could spend all day and take some home with you. You’ll find vinyl junkies and folks still purchasing hard copy CDs, thank you very much, and you might stumble into a favorite Austin songwriter promoting a new release. We were fortunate enough to catch Ray Wylie Hubbard performing songs off of 2015’s The Ruffian’s Misfortune, beer in hand.
Waterloo is a music lover’s mecca. Love it. Embrace it. See you there.
